Terms and Conditions

By paying for, attending or taking part in any service offered by DM Dog Training including but not limited to 1:1, courses, workshops, online training, classes or events, you are agreeing to the following T&Cs. Non-compliance may result in discontinuation of service without a refund.

General Terms & Conditions

  • All services including rolling must be paid for in advance or on the day by either cash, card, BACS transfer.

  • In the event you are unable to attend a service that you have paid for, you must notify DM Dog Training within 72 hours (via email or text) of the service starting for it to be rescheduled or ten days prior to the start date should you wish to request a refund. We require five working days for a refund to be delivered and a £15 administration fee will be incurred. 

  • In the event you are unable to attend a single service you have paid for but are within 72-hour period, we may be unable to offer a reschedule and that service session may be lost and unable to be refunded. In the case of extenuating circumstances, DM Dog Training will review this on a case-by-case basis and therefore may offer an alternative solution

  • In the event you are unable to attend an entire class you have paid for, you are allowed one ‘deferral’ to move to other class providing 5 working days’ notice is provided via email. If you notify DM Dog Training after this time or once class has commenced, the deferral is void.

  • DM Dog Training will apply personal judgement and postpone or cut short a training session, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions; including, but not limited to excessive heat, torrential rain, thunder storms and snow/ice. The decision to do so lays with the judgment of the trainer, for the safety of themselves, members of the public, other animals and that of the recipient. In such circumstances a referral will be offered but the decision to give a refund for that session (either complete or partial) is at the discretion of DM Dog Training.

  • The trainer will apply personal judgement and cut short a training session, if necessary, if we feel the dog is not coping well. In the case of anxious dogs, we may do the initial session with the owner only or split the initial consultation into two smaller sessions.

  • Although we cannot fully guarantee a 100% success rate with our training methods, we have a high success rate with previous clients who follow and practice our methods in the long term.

  • Our methods are all kind, ethical and effective, following the LIMA principle however are never instant and take commitment from the client to work with their dog in the long-term.

  • All advice given is done so within the confides of the trainer’s knowledge, training and experience. Although every care is taken to ensure the advice is sound safe and appropriate, DM Dog Training, its trainers, volunteers or staff cannot be held liable for any issues, harm or costs incurred from acting on this advice.

  • DM Dog Training reserves the right to cancel the contract (at any time & with immediate effect) if any dog/s under the contract do not respond well to the plan (where the continuing of the said contract is deemed an irresponsible risk).

  • You must not knowingly book an aggressive or highly reactive dog onto any service or event with DM Dog Training without informing us first. In the event it is discovered your dog is a danger to themselves or others in a class setting, you may be asked to leave and not be offered a refund.

    • If unsure of your dog’s level of aggression or reactivity, we will offer an evaluation to determine suitability. In the event your dog is uncomfortable or reactive within the class environment, we will offer an alternative solution such as 1-2-1 sessions in order for you and your dog to meet your goals and needs.

  • All dogs that are known to have a bite history by their caregiver (people or animals) or have caused injury, need to wear a muzzle, we take no responsibility for dogs who are not muzzled or kept under control, during our session or when working outside of our session. Failure to wear a muzzle when asked may result in termination of your support without refund.

  • All dogs must be kept under control at all times, with no exceptions. When dogs are not being worked, they must either be in their car, in a crate or on lead and under control by their caregiver.

    • Dogs are not allowed off lead unless specifically instructed by the instructor for specific circumstances such as recall or class training or off-lead searches for scent work.

  • All dog poo must be picked up by the dog’s caregiver and disposed of appropriately in a designated bin, if one is not available, you must take this home and dispose.

  • When attending classes, attendees must bring their own dog food/rewards and poo bags along with any other items as requested by DM Dog Training within reason (e.g. mat/bed/toy). DM Dog Training can take no responsibility for any allergens or allergic reactions your dog has while working with/on behalf of DM Dog Training. DM Dog Training will ask prior to using treats if your dog has any allergies but it is the caregiver’s responsibility to make any trainer aware.

  • DM Dog Training will endeavour to run training classes in a professional, organised and safe manner for all involved. DM Dog Training is fully insured with public liability insurance suitable for running dog training classes, 1-2-1s, seminars and workshops. Participation in DM Dog Trainings various classes, 1-2-1s, seminars and workshops are entirely at the risk of the participant and their dog. DM Dog Training, its staff, volunteers and owners of our training venues take no responsibility for injuries or losses sustained. Caregivers remain responsible for their own dogs at all times, and are advised to have pet insurance covering their animal in the unlikely event of injury or an accident to occur to a third party.

  • When working with any dogs that show aggressive or highly anxious behaviour, no official behavioural modification training can take place until the dog has been vet checked to rule out any pain or discomfort. Upon request clients can be sent over a vet referral form for their vet to sign off on. Unfortunately, if the caregiver does not wish to get their dog thoroughly vet checked if pain is suspected, then behavioural modification training cannot continue.

  • If working at a different location, we take no responsibility for any difficulties caregiver’s have with finding the location and any injuries or losses that may occur at that venue. 

  • Although we strive to not cancel or postpone classes, if due to weather, venue issues, injury or illness and we are in a position where we cannot run as planned, we will contact caregivers via email and via text if possible. We always aim to inform caregivers at least one hour in advance, however this may not always be possible in all circumstances. It is advised that caregivers check emails before leaving to attend dog training and before session commences. 

  • DM Dog Training reserves the right to take photographic, video and audio content of all related activities including classes, 1-2-1s, seminars and workshops. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you agree that yourself, your dog and anybody who attends the session with you give consent for these mediums to be used for marketing purposes on all DM Dog Training platforms and linked social medias and websites.

  • DM Dog Training is all about providing the best experience for caregivers and dogs. If what is provided is not to satisfaction, please inform us and we can either explain our reasoning more thoroughly or make alterations. 

DM Dog Training, Training Venue Specific Terms and Conditions

  • No dogs or caregivers are permitted to interact with any animals on site other than their own.

  • No dogs or caregivers are permitted to enter any fields or locations not designated as DM Dog Training area.

  • Please do not block any access to any road or building and keep close control of your dog at all times.

  • Do not allow your dog to interact with any people or dogs that are at the venue unless permitted by the trainer.

  • Do not allow your dog to urinate against any other venues, vehicles or property on the site. 

  • Always pick up and dispose of dog poo in appropriate bin. 

Sale Of Goods Terms and Conditions

  • DM Dog Training accept no liability for the good or any harm, injury, costs or death caused to human or animal by failure or misuse of the goods sold. 

  • Any purchase comes with warranty and returns procedure of the manufacturer and/or wholesale supplier.

  • DM Dog Training will endeavour to support any returns/damaged/faulty cases raised however all goods sold are subject to no returns
