Dog Training and Behaviour

With over 10 years of professional experience, I’ve dedicated my career to understanding, training, and supporting dogs of all breeds, with a particular passion for working breeds, herding dogs, and rescue dogs.

My background includes extensive hands-on experience working with operational and specialist dog teams, where I developed advanced skills in handling, training, and scent detection. This foundation has shaped my practical, results-driven approach to dog training today.

I’ve also had the privilege of contributing to the training of assistance dogs through my work with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, further expanding my expertise in developing reliable, confident dogs that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

As a City & Guilds qualified Scent Work Instructor, scent detection remains at the heart of my work. I specialise in using scent work not only as an engaging activity but also as a powerful tool for confidence building, behavioural development, and fulfilling the natural needs of driven dogs.

Alongside scent work, I provide behavioural support and personalised training for pet dogs, particularly those with complex needs, high drive, or breed-specific challenges. My specialist focus on herding breeds means I understand the unique traits, instincts, and management strategies needed to help these intelligent dogs thrive in family life.

For me, effective dog training is about more than teaching skills, it’s about empowering owners with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to build lasting partnerships with their dogs.

Every dog is an individual, and my goal is to help unlock their full potential through ethical, compassionate, and expert-led training.
