Scentwork Classes

We offer different levels of scentwork courses. The courses we run and carefully designed following expert training in the field. Our courses are designed to give you the best training and ensure accurate searching patterns and detail on contamination.

All new members will be required to work through the program to ensure they follow the same level of details. These courses are designed for you to just have a fun and engaging time with your dog or for the people who are looking to compete. you will all follow the same process.

Scentwork Courses

All our courses are designed to test you and your dog, no matter what stage of training you are at this will give you further knowledge to develop your skills. all courses will include in depth support and additional materials to help. Scentwork is suitable for all types of dogs, this is using their natural behaviour and pairing it with fun. You don't need to be a confident handler, you dog need to have a working line dog. The only thing you need is a fun personality and a attitude to learn. Reactive dogs are welcome on the course (please make the instructor aware prior to the joining).

Courses:

Constable Course (6 week course) - Introducing you and your dog to scent work. We will look at the basics, discuss safety, contamination and ensure your dog is starting to develop the skills needed.

Detective Course (6 week course) - We are now starting to advance our searching techniques, build on everything we have learnt so far and push to create duration and distance while increasing the difficulty.

Inspector Course (6 week Course) - We have made it this far. We are now about to reach the stage where we bring everything together to ensure we have the skills to carry out a effect search. We will really look to test ourselves and our dogs during this stage. This stage is where you can continue your training and keep pushing yourself.

Day Searches- We will be running day search courses where we will be at different locations carrying out searches and testing our abilities in new environments

1-2-1 session - We can offer 1-2-1 sessions for people who feel this might be the best approach, it is also great for working on issues you might have with scentwork.

1-2-1 Course - We can offer a 1-2-1 course should this be your preferred method of training. we certainly encourage group sessions, but understand this isn't suitable for everyone.
